Reflexology and the digestive system

I’ve always found it so interesting how everything in the body is connected. Like, something as simple as your feet can actually affect what’s going on in your gut—sounds a bit wild. My reflexology tutor taught me that female cabin crews often struggle to fall pregnant because of the interruption to their circadian rhythms and that people that struggle with constipation often struggle with fertility. It was these mind blowing facts that drew me to reflexology.

So reflexology is basically working on certain points on your feet (or hands/ears) that link to different parts of your body. And I know it can sound a little “out there” at first, but the effects—especially on digestion—are honestly pretty amazing.

One of the biggest things I’ve noticed is how much it helps when stress is involved. And let’s be real, stress messes with digestion so much. Bloating, that heavy feeling, things just not moving properly—it’s all connected. Reflexology really helps the body switch into that relaxed mode, and once that happens, your digestive system can actually do its job properly again. My reflexology tutor

There are specific areas on the feet that relate to the stomach, intestines, liver, all of that. When those spots are worked on, it can help get things moving, support better absorption, and just make everything feel a bit more… normal, I guess? I usually notice after a session I feel lighter, less uncomfortable, and just more balanced overall.

What I love most is that it doesn’t feel forced. It’s not like you’re trying to “fix” something . It's a therapy that works WITH YOU and not against you.
